The NPH OneFamily program supports children and young people who are reintegrated into their families, seeking to strengthen the family bond and promote a positive environment that ensures their well-being.
NPH OneFamily teams, most commonly comprised of social workers and psychologists, commit to at least four visits per year to evaluate the home environment and verify the child’s wellbeing. Given the importance of ensuring a smooth transition, NPH provides intensive onsite visits in the first six months of integration. During one month, the team conducts approximately 15 home visits and 5 visits to the educational centers of the children.
Currently, the NPH OneFamily program in Guatemala has around 30 members.
To carry out monitoring, it is necessary to have a specific vehicle for the NPH OneFamily program, as frequent visits are important to the success of the continuum of care. In some cases, visits have had to be reduced due to lack of transportation.
Thank you for helping to facilitate access to communities and for enabling visits to be carried out effectively.
