NPH El Salvador is a family of more than 200 children and adolescents who live in our home called “Casa Sagrada Familia.” We raise children by providing them with everything they need to grow up well. For us, it is important to offer good food to our children; most of them come from a background of poverty, and they did not receive three meals a day.
We have a farm with more than 50 cows that provide our kitchen with milk and meat, which ensures higher quality and lower costs to NPH. We grow corn to make tortillas and other dishes for our children.
Every day, we receive 115 liters of milk from our cows and around 500 tortillas are prepared for our children. We are able to supply two tortillas, two times a day.
The period for planting corn begins with the rains in May, and the harvesting in December. While corn is our primary crop, we also cultivate sorghum, cucumber, radish, squash, and yucca.
By supporting this project, you will be helping to put smiles on our children faces because they will be receiving their milk, meat, and tortillas in their meals.
