Email your friends about our NPH family!
Thank you for writing to your networks to tell them about our NPH family and how they can help. Below is a draft email that you may like to use.
Dear friends and family,
I am writing to you because I want to tell you about a charity that I support – NPH New Zealand.
NPH is Spanish for ‘Our Little Brothers and Sisters’ and helps thousands of vulnerable children and families across 9 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
I support NPH / I sponsor a child with NPH because…….(write your reasons here….)
You may have heard that Latin America is the new epicentre for the Covid19 pandemic. This worries me because if countries like the UK, Italy and the USA have struggled, how are poorer countries supposed to fare?
The harsh reality is that many children and families are going hungry across the continent. There is little government support, which makes it impossible for many people to stay in lockdown. They are forced into the streets to try and find a way to survive, while risking contagion. As Covid19 cases spiral out of control, healthcare systems are on the brink of collapse in many of these countries.
NPH is doing their best to help vulnerable children and families during this incredibly challenging time. While the need has never been greater, funding is harder to come by.
I know this crisis is hard for everyone across the globe, but it’s hardest for the poor and vulnerable.
If you’re in the position to help with any amount, I know NPH will use your gift wisely to help those who need it most.

If you’re not in the position to help right now, please keep these children and families in your prayers.
Thanks so much,

You may like to include these stories below which shows how NPH is helping vulnerable families during the pandemic.
Brenda Hernandez grew up at NPH El Salvador. She went on to have 3 beautiful children with her partner who was tragically killed while she was pregnant with their last child.
“I am so grateful to NPH because they have always supported me, even in the middle of the pandemic. Without them, I have no one – only the NPH family,” Brenda says.

Latin America is the new epicentre of Covid19
Many countries across Latin America have tried to apply lockdown restrictions. However, these efforts have been hampered by a lack of social security, forcing desperate families to risk contagion in order to get food on the table. With over 50% of the region’s work force being in the informal sector, and many without bank accounts, it’s a difficult task to get help to those who need it most.
