NPH helps vulnerable children and families across 9 countries in Latin America – Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Bolivia, Peru, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Haiti.

NPH started in Mexico in Cuernavaca, 2 hours from Mexico city, in 1954 when a young boy stole from the Fr. Wasson’s chapel. Fr. Wasson decided he wanted to help this child and all the children in the city’s prison, who were simply there because of having nowhere else to go.

Since 1954 NPH has helped raise over 18,000 children and helped many more families and children in need of education, healthcare and nutrition.

Watch this timeline to see how NPH has spread across Latin America over 65 years.
