Home Sweet Home Project

Giving a sense of belonging and comfort
July 25, 2017 - New Zealand

Celebrating Christmas in one of our boy's homes.
1/3

When visitors come to NPH Honduras they are often surprised by how happy the kids are, and how well looked after they are. We are blessed to offer our children a safe haven, a place where they can heal from their past wounds. One thing is missing and we need help with this.

When you enter a children's home, it is a well lit, healthy space for the kids... and yet something's missing. What's missing are the creature comforts we often take for granted - comfy sofas, a bookshelf, a place to prepare food.... All the things which help foster a greater sense of family and belonging.

What requires funding are curtains ($41 each), comfortable couches ($440 each), bookshelves ($89 each), TV stands ($50 each), fridges ($590 each), cooking utensils ($177 for each home), dining tables converted from old picnic tables ($206) and cooking hot plates ($59 each)

If you can spare a few dollars to help build a greater sense of family at NPH Honduras, please donate here: www.nph-nz.org/donation (Reference: Home Sweet Home).

Every little bit will help furnish our 16 children's homes at NPH Honduras.
